How do I add a MySQL Database under cPanel?

To access the Control Panel for your website:

- Login to your account at https://www.webiness.com/cp using this email address as the login.

- Click on the "My Services" link on the top menu

- Find the site you want to access in the list and click on the "View Details" icon for that site.

- Scroll down until you see a "Login to cPanel" button and click on it.

You are now in the control panel for your website.

- Scroll down to the Databases section and click on the MySQL Databases button.

- Enter the name of the database (notice it will have your username and _ before it) and click "Create Database"

- You will get a message that it was successful and now click the "Go Back" button

- You now need to create a user in the next section down (notice it will have your username and _ before it).  Enter the username and password (twice) and hit the "Create User" button.

- You will get a message that it was successful and now click the "Go Back" button

- Now you will need to add the user to the database in the next section down.  Select the user and the database and click "Add"

- You need to assign the privileges this user will need for the purpose you are using it. Consult your install guide for the permissions needed, select them, and then click the "Make Changes" button

- You will get a message that it was successful and now click the "Go Back" button

Your database is now ready for use.  You will use the following for your connection:

host: localhost

user: <ftpusername>_<username>

password: whatever you used

database: <ftpusername>_<databasename>
